MEET DR. ELIZABETH DUPLESSIS WATERS
Dr. Elizabeth grew up in the office and always knew she wanted to be in the dental field. While in dental school, she realized that orthodontics was the perfect fit for her. She loves seeing her patients’ self-esteem blossom throughout orthodontic treatment. She believes that a beautiful smile never goes out of style!
Dr. Elizabeth is a 2002 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University and then her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky in 2011. Dr. Elizabeth received a Master’s of Science degree in orthodontics from Saint Louis University in 2013 and started practicing with her dad a few days after graduating. She believes continuing education is very important to stay on the cutting-edge of orthodontics and regularly attends courses throughout the year. Her Masters thesis was recently published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics August 2016 issue and can be found here: Relationship between body mass and dental and skeletal development in children and adolescents.
Dr. Elizabeth enjoys hiking with her husband Jason, 2 sons, Henry and Hudson, and their furbaby Nellie. They are hobby farmers on Kentucky Roots Farm and are excited to add bees this winter!

MEET DR. JOHN J. DUPLESSIS JR.
Dr. John J. DuPlessis, Jr. has been practicing orthodontics since 1987. He was sure he wanted to be an orthodontist since seventh grade when he had braces himself. The thing he enjoys most about orthodontics is showing a patient their before and after photos, knowing he has made a positive change in their lives. Dr. D. enjoys working with children and adults, but has a special bond with younger patients. He is known as a magician and practical joker at times!
Dr. D attended the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate and dental school education where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1985. He completed his Orthodontic Residency at Saint Louis University in 1987. He regularly attends continuing education courses, usually doubling the required number of hours.

Dr. D is very proud of the team at DuPlessis Orthodontics. They have over 120 hours of combined experience. Their experience speaks volumes and allows patients to be exceptionally cared for.
Dr. D has been married to his wife Julia since 1982. They have three girls; Elizabeth, who is now Dr. D’s partner in the practice, Sarah, a physician’s assistant in Elizabethtown, and Emily, an accountant in Chicago. When Dr. D is not working, you can find him walking and taking care of the trail around Freeman Lake, playing Words with Friends, and traveling. He is active at his parish, Saint James Catholic Church, and Rotary Club of Elizabethtown. He looks forward to helping in the revitalization of downtown Elizabethtown in the next few years.

ANDREA
Practice Manager
Andrea began her career with DuPlessis Orthodontics in 1995 as an orthodontic assistant. She took a brief leave of absence to add to her family and to further her college education. After graduation, she returned to serve as our practice manager. Andrea works with our patients and their families to ensure a positive experience during treatment. She enjoys meeting new patients and welcoming them into our practice.
Andrea lives in Elizabethtown with her family of all boys and her Australian shepherd, Emmett. An avid reader, Andrea also enjoys gardening and spending time with her horses.
DENISE
Clinical Supervisor/Lab Technician
Denise started in the orthodontic field in 1981 after graduating from an accredited dental assistant program in Louisville. She joined DuPlessis Orthodontics in February of 1995. She really enjoys making various appliances in the lab. Denise loves the positive effect orthodontic treatment has on our patients! Everyone loves a beautiful smile! She especially enjoys when the parent is so proud of the way their child’s treatment turned out that they decide to go into orthodontic treatment themselves!
Denise lives in Elizabethtown and loves spending most of her free time outdoors. She looks forward to going to the lake, skiing, camping, hiking, flying airplanes, traveling out west with her husband Tom on their motorcycles, and playing with their Standard Poodle, Romeo.
CHRISTY
Patient Coordinator/Clinical Orthodontic Assistant
Christy began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1996. She joined our orthodontic team in July 1998. Christy works as a receptionist and chairside assistant and really enjoys building friendships with patients and their families. She is dedicated to creating outstanding smiles and loves seeing our patients’ smiles transform from start to finish. Christy also appreciates her team members’ unique ability and talents, and feels fortunate to work with them to provide outstanding orthodontic care in a friendly and relaxed environment.
Christy lives in Elizabethtown with her husband, Damon, and their two daughters, Brittany and Audrey. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
EMILY
New Patient Coordinator/Lab Technician
Emily has been a member of our orthodontic team since 2001. Emily works as a chairside assistant and in the lab preparing study models. You will also find Emily working in our consultation room, where she welcomes new patients to our practice and prepares them for treatment. Emily loves watching the transformation of our patients’ smile from beginning of treatment to the end. It is rewarding for her to see the beautiful smiles they get to enjoy for a lifetime!
Emily lives in New Haven with her husband, Jeff, and their son, Max. They have a special angel in heaven named Mia Anna. They also have a dog, Macy, and a cat, Sophie. Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
PAM
Chairside Orthodontic Assistant
Pam has been an orthodontic assistant for more than 20 years, and she joined DuPlessis Orthodontics in December 2004. She truly loves working with kids, both young and young-at-heart! Her favorite part of her job is helping people relax and have fun while in our office. She loves working with our team and enjoys spending time with her co-workers in and out of the office.
Pam has been married for 21 years to Jody. She has two boys, Jake and Thad, and a yorkie named Sweetie who has been a part of their family for 14 years! They enjoy UK Basketball, Dallas Cowboy Football, and anything outdoors. She has a special word, hope, which comes from her belief in God.
LARILYNN
Chairside Orthodontic Assistant
Larilynn has been working with DuPlessis Orthodontics since she moved to Kentucky from Houston, Texas, in 2005. What she loves most about her job is the improvement orthodontics makes in a patient’s life. She loves watching their self-esteem grow right before her eyes!
Larilynn has been married to her husband since 1987. They have a daughter, son, and a wonderful son-in-law. She has many four-legged family members including horses, dogs, cats, and chickens (even though they only have two legs). In her sparse spare time, she enjoys cooking and painting.
AMANDA
Patient Coordinator and Chairside Orthodontic Assistant
Amanda has more than 20 years of experience in the dental field and joined our office in July of 2010. She enjoys meeting new patients and seeing the transformation of confidence a patient gains with their new, beautiful smile! She also enjoys working with her friendly and enthusiastic co-workers, who, through excellent teamwork, make each day a lot of fun!
Amanda is married to her husband, Bert, and they have two daughters, Lily and Ava. Their family also has a Miniature Schnauzer named Roxy. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves UK Basketball, Notre Dame Football, and the Cincinnati Reds Baseball. In her spare time, Amanda likes to listen to all types of music, but her favorite band is Aerosmith. She also enjoys watching anything featuring Betty White!
JENNIFER
Financial and Insurance Coordinator
Jennifer started at our office in 2010 with 20 years of insurance experience. What she enjoys most about her job is relationships she makes with the patients and their families, as well as the amazing team work that it takes to achieve beautiful smiles! Jenn feels excited to see the little miracles that happen every day in the improvement of a patient’s self-confidence.
Jennifer has been happily married for 22 years to her best friend Jason. They have two beautiful children, Brooke and Jase. She keeps busy cheering on her two favorite soccer players and college teams, UofL, UofK, and WVU…yes this is possible! When relaxing, she enjoys a hot cup of tea with a good movie or book. She loves the ocean and her bucket list includes visiting Ireland and the waters of Greece.
SARA
Chairside Orthodontic Assistant
Sara started her career in the dental field in 2010 as a dental assistant. She later began her career in orthodontics where she has realized the phrase, “If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” The best aspects of her job are meeting new people and seeing the transformations of not only their smiles, but their self-confidence, as well. She also loves working with her coworkers, who she considers to be some of the most genuinely kind people she knows. Sara, like the rest of our team, has a strong work ethic and truly cares about our patients.
Sara lives in Elizabethtown with her husband and three children. She enjoys hiking, canoeing, cooking, reading, and trying new things, especially food! She also loves standup comedy and watching Kentucky Basketball with family and friends. Most of all, she loves having a wonderful family to share her life with and to go home to at the end of each day.

Chasidi joined the duptroop in 2018 and lives in Guston with her husband and 3 daughters: Elizabeth, Lyla, and Avery. They also have furry family members- Ella dog and Chloe cat. In her free time, she is a taxi for her girls cheer, archery, and ballet practices.
Chasidi also enjoys baking and going to the beach! She is the first smiling face you will see when you come visit us!
